Christmas Break and New Year's Eve 2021

Although we missed being with family in SLC or SG this year, it was nice to not have to rush around and take the usual stress that comes with travel.  We rested plenty and had fun at home.

We visited the Warhawk museum here in Nampa and took a tour. They have lots of cool planes and exhibits, but it's generally less kid friendly than other museums we've been to.

We had lots of friends over! We had a decent amount of snow, so we invited lots of friends over for a snow day.

We got in our once a year sledding! Ha!  This time we didn't venture into the mountains. We stayed close by and went a park with a big hill.  The verdict? Fun, but not intense enough. The kids would have rather driven the long ways up into the mountains to find better hills. Me on the other hand was content with something more close by.

New Years! We measured ourselves on the door. No surprises- everyone grew! :)  We had our very first taste of our own bacon. HEAVEN! Never had bacon so good.  We had a completely home grown meal! Pork, potatoes, green beans and grape juice!  New Year's night we dipped things in chocolate, watched movies, and then those of us that made it till midnight went outside in the frigid air and popped some confetti poppers.  Whew! What a year!  Welcome 2022!
