The James family was spending Christmas at G&G's. We were treated to see the new movie "David" in theaters. That night, Makenna worked on Davy's stocking for me while I prepared dinner. We have a tradition of eating Hawaiian food on Christmas Eve and it was extra special because we had everyone there including the missionaries, Elder Larsen and Elder Harris. We also started a new tradition that I got zero pictures of that might be my new favorite thing. We decided since we have a barn complete with hay and cattle and goats, that's where we would read Luke 2, to give us that real sensory experience. We pulled some bales in a circle and carried battery powered candles with us. With the smell of hay and the cold December air, we read Luke 2 as the animals came in to say hello. After we finished reading the Christmas story, we sang Christmas hymns together before heading back to the house to eat some cookies and get our Christmas pj's on.
A wonderful Christmas morning! Later that day we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a meal and to play games with cousins. Then we took them to see the caldwell lights!
