December 2022

American always puts on a lovely Christmas getaway for the employees here in the treasure valley! They put us up in the Shoreline hotel for a night and spoiled us with a delicious dinner and prizes! McCall is so beautiful!

Cutie Gwen and her friends collecting food for the food bank!

Mom and Benson date! There was an awesome Dinosaur exhibit/experience at the Idaho Center. He got to ride on mechanical dinosaurs and all sorts of fun things! He was also sad that this super cool experience caused him to miss out on screen time that day. :)

Ward Christmas Party! Getting to chat with Mr. and Mrs. Clause

I was having some success selling my homemade soap! I also got a huge basket order for the holidays that helped me remake what I bought the business for plus a bunch more. It was a huge tender mercy.

Co-op field trip day to go ice skating at Indian Creek in Caldwell!

Gwen and Lindy had their Christmas Dance recital! Gwen was doing acro at the time and Lindy was doing dance. They both did great!

Grandma and Grandpa Crosby sent everyone a little extra money this Christmas so that we could have the opportunity to secret Santa someone we knew could use some help this year. We took the family to Costco, loaded up the carts, and doorbell ditched a fam in the ward. So fun!

Homeschool Honorable Mentions

Homestead Honorable Mentions- including butchering a pig on Christmas eve, cause why not? Also, new baby goats!!

November 2022

Baskets was going well! I was loving the creative outlet of shopping for all the cute things and then arranging them in fun ways. I also was spending a lot of time canning.  I always like to take a celebratory picture at the end of canning season. :)

It was time to butcher our own chickens! The Baxters and the Comptons were interested in being a part of the process and learning. The jumped right in and did great!

Gwen was brave and tried a volleyball clinic! She decided it wasn't for her, but I was proud of her for trying.

Christmas Shoeboxes! One of our favorite traditions!

Grandma and Grandpa Garner came up for Thanksgiving! We ate like kings! Shannon joined us too. We danced the Shim Sham after dinner and had a little turkey bowl. They helped us split some wood before heading back to SLC.

First real snow day! It came with that beautiful frost that covers every single branch of the trees. :)

We made it to the Caldwell Lights in anticipation of Christmas! The fire breathing dragon is always a highlight.

Homeschool Honorable Mentions for November. A field trip to the planetarium in Caldwell, Gwen's class finishing our art mural of "Sunday in the Park", and Lindy deciding on her own to read the picture scripture books and then write summaries of what she read.

Homestead Honorable Mentions!
