 Happy 38th Birthday to Richie! He wanted to shell peas with the kids while watching "Cowboys" with John Wayne. I made him some delicious pies and we had burgers at his folk's place. 

4th of July! Jenn Jacobs let Lindy help lead one of the workout songs at an early morning group workout session. She felt so cool! Richie helped the kids build an epic slide in the barn. Before, the slide had just been propped up on hay bales, and now it's legit! We didn't go to a big firework show or anything that year. I didn't have it in me. Luckily, I remembered a kid in my high school class doing a dance in the dark, outlined by glowsticks. I thought it was pretty epic then, and the kids thought it was pretty epic now! 

Book Party! We finished reading "The Candy Shop Wars", so we celebrated by going to a really cool candy store in Meridian and then watching  Willy Wonka, since there isn't a movie about the Candy Shop Wars yet. :) 

Summer Shenanigans: Eagle Island Day with friends, pond time at Grandma and Grandpas, park days, arts and crafts!
