On Christmas Eve, we tracked Santa around the globe, delivered presents to our missionaries, got pictures and letters and cookies ready to leave Santa, and we started a new tradition of eating Hawaiian food on Christmas Eve! (Thanks Richie for serving a mission in Hawaii!)
The kids found their new Christmas pj's and keepsake books. I couldn't help myself and got Richie some new "pjs" too. :) With my deep love for 7 brides for 7 brothers, how could I resist?
Santa came! We ate our traditional breakfast of German pancakes, bacon, orange juice, hot chocolate, and grapefruit. Then we lined the kids up and let them loose! They were in heaven! Every year I worry if we did too much, too little etc. It's always magical though! Miles's favorite gift was an MP3 player, so he can listen to songs whenever he wants now. Gwen's favorite gift was an art set. Lindy got lots of supplies for Ooh-la-la Beauty Spas. Benson got laser guns. And Davy got a wiggle racer. All the kids got an air fort, which is so cool and has already seen lots of use.
Then we cleaned up as best we could, got dressed in our new Duluth gear, packed a few favorite gifts and headed south!
