Tis the season

We've been on a brief hiatus from the internet recently, and although it was only for a few days, I feel like it's been a lifetime and there's so much to catch up on. Really, there's not, but do scroll down in case I decide to make enough nothings into somethings for another post.

Eastern Idaho is a little later on the gardening schedule than most other places, but we've finally been able to start our garden again. We're sharing the garden with the same friends as last year and we're excited to try some new things. Has anyone ever successfully grown eggplant? hmmmm... We were also excited to find out that we were allowed to use one of the planter boxes out in front of our house! We were going to use it to plant some extra peppers and tomatoes, but after we cleared away the ridiculous amount of weeds and grass that had taken over, we found a substantial amount of strawberry and raspberry plants! Score! Hopefully they'll produce and we'll be able to enjoy some of my favorites this season.

We are still wearing long sleeves around here too. I love that you guys garden so much. I too am catching the gardening bug and have LOTS of plans for our backyard next summer. I can't do them this summer, because of other projects I have going on, but when you come out you'll have to give me lots of advice. :) Can't wait to see all of you soon!

Oh I just love your pictures of your cute kids!! Sweet!!!!

Oh, also- to get an invisible tracker on your blog, just go to http://statcounter.com/ and you can sign up for free. You'll get an html code to add to your blog and you're all set. You can see everyone who goes to your blog, what link or search led them there, etc. (I'm pretty sure you're the one who asked me about this- if not, just ignore this. lol) :)

That is so great that you guys get to do a garden. I think you are so cool for doing all your canning in the fall too!
