Mom: So Miles, you've been on the earth for about 4 months now, what do you think of the mortal life?
Miles: Gee mom, I think it's swell. You're the best mom in the whole world!
Mom: Oh, you're a sweetheart. You're growing like crazy! Are you almost ready to sleep through the night?
Miles: haha, not a chance mom.
....or something like that.
Happy 4 months Miles! Here are some recent adorable pictures.

Like mother like son
So the other day I was looking at Miles' feet and thought "Oh look at how chubby they are!" Then I remembered what my feet looked like when I was pregnant with him. More like walrus fins or something equally as gross. Unless you actually saw how huge they were, I doubt this picture will do them justice. Richie would paint my toenails since I couldn't reach them and I had to wear flip flops to church in the winter...not so much fun. Anyway, I got a kick out of the comparison. At least it's cute that HIS feet are fat!

What a Weekend!
This Memorial Day weekend we were able to get over to Nampa to visit the family. Our main purpose in going was so that Miles could meet his great-great grandparents! I just think that is so amazing. So we took a lot of video and 5-generation pictures. Richie and I always come away from family trips in awe all over again at the wonderful heritage we belong to.
We also celebrated my 23rd birthday! There were so many dang candles on that cake I couldn't blow them all out. I think they must have put extra on to make me feel older. Our families always have a way of making you feel special and a little spoiled which is okay once a year I think. :)
We got to spend a lot of time with family and visit Grandpa Kenneth's grave. Miles did pretty well traveling. It always throws off his groove a little, but he handled it really well I think. He loves being around lots of people. And Richie's family couldn't get enough of him! It was so great to watch the cluster of people that would surround him as soon as I laid him on the floor. He is one loved baby. Even if he went through at least 3 outfits per day while we were there! No joke! We're guessing he has grown out of his size 2 diapers all ready, but I just can't believe that! He must be growing like crazy! I had to put this picture of him on here because Richie and I couldn't get over how much Crosby is in him. I think it looks like his cousin Theo!
After we got back on Monday, we hurried and made a cake and ran over to Smith Park to have our "Happy Birthday Frankie Manning" party. There was plenty of junk food and we had a good time. (I tried to upload a picture, but it just wasn't cooperating!)
Thanks everyone for the great weekend!

My first!
Sunday was my first real Mother's Day! How cool! I can't wait till Miles is old enough to sing in the primary programs and be up on stage waving, picking his nose and trying to sing some of the songs. That will be the best Mother's Day present ever. But I was pleasantly surprised that "Miles" did actually get me a present this year! "Miles" isn't one to get even remotely excited about doing fun things on Holidays for the most part, but I guess "Miles" broke down and got me a flower and a candle I wanted and even made me a card with his hand prints all over it! The best part was that Miles and Dad let me sleep in on Sunday.
I felt horrible about not really honoring my mom or Richie's mom. For some reason I thought Mother's Day was this upcoming Sunday, so we had started on their presents, but not finished them or sent them. Sorry moms! But I sure love you both and I think the longer I do this "mom thing", the more I'll appreciate everything you both do. But I'm beginning to think, it's not as easy as you both make it look. Love you!
The new digs
So, at the beginning of April, Richie and I moved into a new apartment. We got the chance to manage some storage units in Sugar City and live in the apartment that is built onto the office. It's much bigger than our old apartment and is finally starting to feel like home. Anyway here are some pictures, that ironically look a lot like our old set up...but I promise it's different! If you don't believe me, I guess you'll just have to come up and visit!! The owners have given us permission to paint and do anything else we'd like to the apartment, so I'm pretty excited about that. We just have to wait until our budget can handle it! I watch all these design shows, and look at all these creative websites and they have such wonderful ideas "for cheap" they say. And I guess comparatively speaking, it is cheap! But at this point, it's cheaper not to do it at all. One day perhaps! If we do end up doing any cool projects, I'll for sure post them. I have plans to paint and do some things to spruce it up with fabric, so we'll see.
