I think I'll be done...
This is what I've been spending a good amount of time on lately. We moved some stuff around and have re-purposed this shelving for food storage and we must say it works great! It's a pretty cool feeling to look up there and think "hey, I grew some of that stuff! And I canned 95% of the things up there!" *Disclaimer* I know so many other ladies who do so much more, so my attempts may seem wimpy. However, I did branch out this season and try new things and learned a lot. And that's part of the goal right? I learned how to make pickles, can green beans (which meant using a pressure cooker for the first time), make applesauce...maybe that's all that was new. It's been good, but I think I'll wait till next year to try salsa!!! yummmm. I just finished 25 quarts of pears yesterday and I think that about did me in.
I've also decided that I should announce I'm pregnant on every post just to get more comments. Thoughts?

Wow! First of congrats on your pregnancy (you were not just saying that were you?)!
Second of all, that is a ton of work you did on the canning! I am one like you. I'm one who likes to try new things, but I don't always stick with them after I've tried. Canning is one of those things. I like it when I feel like it. Haha! I do miss my peach tree I had when we owned a house. I tried growing beans this year, but didn't get enough to can. I'd love to have a big enough yard and knowledge of gardening to grow a lot more some day, but for now I just grow what we can eat fresh and I can when I want from produce I buy at fruit stands or something. haha! Kudos to you. :)
Those beautiful bottles of produce on the shelf just have to make you a little proud. I know I'M proud of you! Keep up the good work!
And you can announce your pregnancy as many times as you want....I'll be thrilled each time. Don't know why people are commenting less. I love your blog!
that is a most beautiful sight! I'm quite jealous!
Yeah Rachel! Way to be self-sufficient. I just read a talk about it and you are doing it. I love it. Mom
"In the sweat of thy face shalt eat 'thy beautiful canned goods'! I love what you are doing...and love you. PS. love the blog! DAD
Yes. Mentioning that you're pregnant again could work. Congrats Rach!!!

You need hardly apologize for that beautifully filled pantry!! I don't even know how to can! My Mom did plently of canning, but it was always the late night date activity with Dad, so I've never done anything more than peel peaches or tomatoes.
In other news-- it sounds like your little one is a girl (via Ross's letter). Congratulations! I hope all is well.
