HAPPY FALL! I think I can finally pin down Fall as my favorite season. And this year especially because our school gets a Fall break for these next 3 days. Hallelujah. So, i'll be doing some intense lesson planning since when we come back from Fall break, I'm in charge of the whole class. Anyone have any cheap, cute Halloween ideas to do with first graders??

you could do dryer vent hose pumkins. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/9093/pumpkin.html then it's good for fall or halloween!
Or you could do paper mache pumkins where you do the paper mache balloons and paint them orange and let them paint the faces

There are a lot of ideas at this site http://www.scoutingweb.com/scoutingweb/Program/CraftsHolidays.htm#Halloween
How'd your planning go? I have a cool idea for you for kindergarten. In my writing class we share ideas every week. A couple of weeks ago a kindergarten teacher shared the coolest idea, but I'll have to call you since this is already a humongous entry :)
There is always paper bag puppets with Halloween characters on them or Mom's specialty - "pom pom" spiders with pipe cleaners.
