We finally got our house on the market, despite our minor basement flood. Judging by the timeline homes sold in our neighborhood, previous to the coronavirus, we figured our home would sell within a week, tops. So we decided the best course of action was for me to take the kids down to SG to get out of the house for showings etc. Richie had to stay for work. It was such a fantastic week. Even with everything closed, and the quarantining happening, we were able to really enjoy the beauty of SG and stay safe with our family.
Day 1
Davy discovering the coffee table, Grandma teaching Miles the basics of crocheting, the girls coming up with a jump rope routine, cuddling with Grandpa and watching his favorite shows, walking around the block to climb on some red rocks, the girls sharing a bed and cuddling (every night. Despite their arguments, they really love each other)
Day 2
Took a hike with Adrienne and her kids to the Temple Quarry Trail. The kids loved being together, I loved my sister time and the weather was perfection. It always is this time of year in SG. You just can't beat the beauty of southern Utah.
Day 3
Art lessons with Grandma, serving neighbors with Grandpa, an exclusive art show where we played "I-Spy", which the 2 older kids were really into, but Lindy had a hard time with. Luckily, the 2 little boys were at home, so it made doing an art museum doable. Super cool. Then We went to Gunlock Falls with the Lambs and the Wallaces. I've been hearing about this place for a few years, so I was happy we were finally able to make it happen. What a beautiful place! The kids could have explored here for hours. Benson was devastated to have to go back home. His highlight was scooting in the red sand most of the way down the trail on his bum in only his underwear.
Day 4
Even though it's a bit of a drive, and it was cold, it was just too good of an opportunity to pass up going to Zions. I can't believe I have never taken my kids here!! Admission was free, no shuttle bus you had to ride, hardly anyone was there (cause everyone's freaking out about cover 19) The only downfall was that Davy was fussy, and we couldn't stay as long as I'd like, not even close. But I appreciate the time we were able to spend there.
The kids also got to sleep over at the Lamb's, we went swimming at "their" pool, Miles played a bunch of card games with Grandpa, ate yummy food...It was such a good trip. I loved going on night walks around the circle and talking with Adrienne, showing my mom how Netflix worked on their TV and watching a movie with her...
it was so good for us. The house stayed really clean while we were gone, unfortunately...no showings that week. :)
