First Half of January

Christmas Break
Sledding, "Just Dance", rock painting, found an EZ bake oven at the DI!, Curiosity Museum with friends!

New Years
Had the Garner crew over for snacks and a movie. We let the kids stay up late and ring in the new year with the countdown on Netflix and sparkling cider, then we cuddled our kids up in front of the fire and watched "It's a Wonderful Life" (which seems more poignant every year), and uncle Jacob slept over!

St. George- Ilah and John's wedding
Another quick trip down to SG for Ilah and John's wedding.

School Stuff
Studying how torpedoes work, play-doh and numbers while the older kids work on their kiwi crate and play dates with friends.

Date with Lindy
I'm trying to squeeze in a date with each kid before baby gets here. This night was with Lindy at a dessert restaurant. We had fun talking with each other and sharing 3 different desserts. :)

Snow Day
I was planning on doing school on MLK day just like normal, but we woke up to a winter wonderland! So I felt the need to rearrange our plans. We did get some nature journaling in, listened to MLK's speech, did a bit of math, and then the rest of the morning was spent out in the snow. It was pretty magical, until they all came in, took off their snow gear, we read a book while eating the snow ice cream we made....and then their friends wanted them to come back out again. So that meant putting the wet snow gear back on. That was a little irritating for me, but overall, a pretty magical morning. Made even better by the fact that Dad came home early and told the kids he'd take them sledding! Best Dad Ever!!
