Last half of June

Police Station
Our original plans for the day were cancelled, so we came home and decided to bake some stuff. We sent a package to uncle Tanner, and took some cookies over to the police station with some thank you notes. Now every time Lindy sees a police officer, she says, "Maybe they ate some of our cookies!" :)

Tumbling
More tumbling for Lindy! She is really loving it and doing a great job. Gwen and her friend Aimsley get to play around waiting for their sisters.

IHOP
When the weather warms up, Richie starts washing windows. This summer, we set some big financial goals, so he is out washing windows all.the.time. He had been working particularly hard one week and was feeling burned out, so he took the day off of seminary, and we surprised the kids by taking them to IHOP for breakfast. This never happens, so the kids were really excited. It made it even better when an older gentleman, who is a regular there, told the waitress to give each of our kids a $2 bill. apparently he always does this if there are kids around when he's eating. What a cute guy eh?

Moving B&B
Ben and Becca are officially in Provo now!! Yay!!! We've been looking forward to this for so long! They stayed with us for a couple of days while they finished all the drama and headache that comes with closing on a house, and then we helped them move in. My kids were in total heaven with cousins always around to play with.

Activity Days
I got a new calling as an activity days leader. I'm so excited!! I hosted my first activity the other day. We played kickball and some water games, then had a lemonade bar and the girls mixed their own drinks. It was just a for fun activity, but I'm so excited to helping teach these girls useful skills and help them realize their potential as daughters of God.

Donut Falls
As a homeschool group, we hiked donut falls one week. It was longer than I was anticipating, but the kids were troopers. Notice the difference in Benson's cleanliness at the beginning of the hike, versus the end of the hike. He was absolutely filthy! Afterward we went to the grocery store with one of the families and pieced together a "picnic" lunch with our dirty, hot, tired kids. It was a good day.

Picking Cherries
A lady in our ward has a sour cherry tree that was loaded, and she offered to share. I'm always grateful for opportunities like this. The kids helped me pick one day and loved finding a bird nest with baby birds in it! We picked a bunch and froze them for smoothies. I went back a couple of days later and picked enough for a cherry crumble for Sunday. :)

2 bonus pictures: 1. Gwen looking creepy with sticker eyes. 2. Benson terrified at all of the masks the kids found and wore at Wal-Mart.
